While many are transitioning to crisp unoaked white wines, the wine drinking world still needs - and we still enjoy - California Chardonnay that has been aged in oak and handled in the winery in a manner that makes for a richer style. The key, of course, is balance, and the folks at Storrs have always had a deft touch in that regard. It helps, of course, that this lovely Chardonnay won't break the bank!
Producer notes - "A blend of Chardonnay from several vineyards, each in its own distinct micro-climate within the appellation. The wine was barrel-fermented and aged sur lie in Burgundian oak for ten months. This wine displays all the classic Santa Cruz Mountains regional character and complexity for which this area is famous."
